Support for WSSP project
The WSSP is based upon work supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant No. 0422902, 0733255, and 0737574. Any opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed in this material are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views of the National Science Foundation.
We gratefully acknowledge the support of GE Healthcare. GE Healthcare has proudly supported the WSSP since 1998. Their involvement includes providing funds for student scholarships, supplying laboratory reagents and equipment, making their facilities available for the Waksman Forum, and, most importantly, donating the time of their scientists and staff.
The WSSP also acknowledges the support of the Waksman Institute at Rutgers University for providing the space and infrastructure to offer the Summer Institute and the Academic year program.
Support from the Toshiba Foundation resulted in the formation of an Equipment Lending Library. We purchased pipetors, vortexers, microcentrifuges, thermal cyclers and agarose gel documentation systems for students to use in their high schools during the academic year. With support from the Johnson and Johnson Foundation we purchased state-of-the-art microcentrifuges and agarose gel documentation systems that were loaned to schools involved with the WSSP research project.
The WSSP also gratefully acknowledges previous support from the National Institutes of Health, Merck & Co, and Howard Hughes Medical Institute
